| The Computer Networks
module introduced the key aspects of Computer Networks. The traditional
topology (e.g. Ethernet, Token Ring), protocols (CSMA/CD) and access speeds
were introduced together with other aspects like Network Management, ISO
Reference Model and Security.
The coursework was
to implement data link layer, client/server protocols in various stages,
from unrestriced simplex protocol, through simplex stop and wait protocol,
to sliding window protocols. The Java Development Kit (JDK 1.1.7)
was used to implement this. I received an A for the coursework and
an A overall for the module.
